Recommended RV Campgrounds and Attractions around Louisville, TN
Located a short walk from downtown or quick ride on the shuttle this large RV park is tucked off the highway with large sites and pretty trees. What makes this location so great for families in RV rentals is the adjacent recently updated community park. With miles of trails, ball fields and playgrounds it offers a great way for the kids to blow off steam without annoying the neighbors.
Known as the biggest "ticketed" tourist attraction in Tennessee. A great amusement park with exciting rides, where you can also find arts and crafts, and even catch a musical performance by Dolly Parton. You can also take the kids to the splash park which also forms part of this giant theme park.
A museum as big as the Titanic see real artifacts and stick your hand in water that is cold as the water Jack and Rose... err the real victims hit when that giant ship went down.
The park is located 10 miles away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You can choose from many outdoor activities such as trout fishing, horseback riding, white water rafting, hiking, golfing and biking. Take a dip in the large splash pool or in the heated pool, enjoy free Wi-Fi and cable TV hook ups. One of the nicer locations the paved roads and paved pads allow even inexperienced RV renters to easily navigate the area.
The park is known for having the largest RV sites outside of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You can enjoy the sounds of fresh running water, as the campground is located between two creeks, Walden Creek and Cove Creek, and your site will be surrounded by beautiful hardwoods. A serene settings that is easy to access in your RV rental
Are you looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay, but with all the amenities you could want close by? If so, head down to Southlake RV Park in Knoxville, Tennessee. There is an atmosphere of serenity here, but you are close enough to Knoxville, where you can dine, visit museums and take advantage of the micro brewery industry. How would you fancy a tasting session of different craft beers? Across the road from the park is an award-winning barbecue restaurant, which has been shown on the Food Network. If you enjoy the outdoor life, head over to the Great Smoky Mountains, just a 30-minute car ride away. Here you can hike, go horseback riding, and have fun tubing. If you feel like having a peaceful day, stay at the park and take advantage of the swimming pool. There is full hookup, restrooms, and a laundry facility here. The park was built to accommodate visitors to the World's Fair in 1982, and is run by the Smith family.
Next to RV parks Pigeon Forge is probably most noted for its wide choice of miniature golf choices. you could spend a week in town and not play all of the courses available. As a bonus each course is usually convenient to go-kart track too!
