Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

About ten miles north of Rockport, resting on 320 acres on the southern edge of Lamar Peninsula, is Goose Island State Park. The coastal terrain is diverse and consists of shell ridge and marshland. However, despite the coastal location, there's no swimming area here. Guests can still enjoy the water while kayaking, canoeing, or fishing.
Although Goose Island is modest in size, camping with an RV is still an option for visitors, as the park has several campsites. The park’s main attraction, as well as a central part of its history, is The Big Tree. This centuries-old rooted sentry was crowned a State Champion Coastal Live Oak back in 1966. As you stroll through the woods and prairies of the park’s mainland, make sure you pay The Big Tree a visit and take a picture.
Around 20 and 25 miles away from the park are Aransas Pass and Ingleside respectively. If you plan to book an RV in Aransas County, consider these two locations along with Rockport due to their proximity to the park.
