The Great Outdoors

Although Katy is located in the suburbs of Houston, it has two great state parks right on its doorstep, so you can experience the best of the great outdoors without any inconveniences.The Stephen F. Austin State Park is 20-minute drive west of Katy, situated upon the Brazos River. A privately run 18-hole golf course is situated just next to the park, for those who have a competitive sporting streak.The Brazos Bend State Park is located at Needville, less than an hour’s drive south of Katy. It is also on the Brazos River and has no less than six fishing lakes and 37 miles of trails. The park is home to an array of animal and marine life, including resident alligators. There is also a store, the George Observatory (which makes up part of the Houston Museum of Natural Science), and some partial hookup sites for RV camping on the grounds.The whole Houston area is home to numerous hiking trails, such as the Memorial Park Red Trail, the Anthills Trail and the George Bush Hike and Bike Trail. Cozy camper. Toss very well. Easy to maneuver and is very reliable. What is most impressive is the ownership and care by Artem. He is very flexible with pick up and drop off but more importantly super thorough with the entire camper to make sure you are safe and understand the entire process. I felt very confident about the camper after going through the orientation with him. I didn’t have to call him but he gave me the confidence that he would be available if I forgot a step or had more questions. I look forward to renting from him again.
