This Van has been a fun and trusty companion for many years. It has traveled from coast to coast (Halifax to Tofino) and was a reliable home in Northern BC for a tree planting season. I love this van very much. I am now living in Vancouver and I no longer need this vehicle for everyday use, which is why I’m choosing to rent it so others can use it for fun adventures like I have had in the past.
What's includedFeatures:- A custom built bed frame designed to act as a lounging sofa as well as a bed. This set up allows much more freedom to sit and relax in the back rather than always have eto be lying down.
- A clean sheet, extremely warm sleeping bag, and sleeping bag liner. (Extra bedding can be provided).
- A Jackery battery pack which can be charged through the car battery or by a regular outlet (both chargers are provided). When this Jackery is 100% charged it can do 16 full iphone charges or 4 full laptop charges. Perfect for charging phones, laptops, bluetooth speakers/headphones, etc.
- Ample Storage space either under the bed frame, beside the bed frame, or on top of the van on the roof rack there is a Thule with a vast amount of storage space as well.
- 2 headlamps for lighting when it’s dark.
- Blinds are set up on all the back windows. There is also a curtain set up to block out light from the front windows as well. Extra Blind materials are provided as well just in case. (This Van has tinted windows which is great for privacy as well).
- Yokohama Snow Tires which have only been used for one winter season.
This van includes these amenities amongst others. here is a list of all the major amenities:- Mattress
- Bed sheet
- Sleeping bag/sleeping bag liner (extra duvet can be provided)
- 1 pillows and pillow case
- Window Blinds
- 1 blanket used as a curtain
- 1 camping chair
- 1 yoga mat
- Jackery power station (car charger and outlet charger included)
- 1 small first aid kit
- storage space under the bed
- Thule on the roof rack
- 2 TVs with a DVD player
- 2 surfboard roof straps
- beaded car seat cover
- Yokohama snow tires
This van rental also includes different supplies which can be helpful for numerous van camping situations. these supplies include:- Baby wipes
- cleaning masks
- Q tips
- Rope/twine
- 1 pair of Scissors
- Duct tape
- 2 Lighters
- Ear plugs
- Ratchet Straps (roof straps for surfboards)
- Cable ties
- 1 pocket knife
- 1 pair of pliers
- 1 adjustable wrench
- 1 USB outlet adaptor
- 2 headlamps
Note: Renters are welcome to use any of these items when required, however these are simply accessories stored for convenience and not meant to be stolen/taken. Of course if the baby wipes, q tips, or duct tape gets fully used this is reasonable and fine, or if a lighter goes missing it’s no big deal. I’m just asking renters to use these items when necessary and to not take/remove these items after renting if they did not need to use them. They are simply meant to provide renters with convenience for any van life troubles that may occur (i.e. fixing a blind, cleaning a stain of your shirt with the baby wipes, lighting a camp-fire, using the earplugs if renting for a music festival which is noisy at night, etc).
RecommendationsWhat should this vehicle be used for? This is up to the renter of course! However here are some suggestions:1. Go to Vancover Island to Surf or Explore. I lived in this van for 2 months in Ucluelet and had the time of my life. The Van comes with surfboard roof straps and is perfect for a glamping surf trip.2. Use the van for a snowboard/ski vacation. The snow tires provide renters the ability to drive in all weather conditions. The Thule provides space for snowboard/ski gear to be stored on the roof and not in the vehicle.3. Explore the city of Vancouver. Maybe you have a place where you can shower/use the kitchen but you don’t have a place to sleep. You can use this van as way to get around the city but also have a place to sleep at night but remain low key. This van does not look like a camper van from the outside and it is easy to sleep in any location without drawing attention to yourself. This makes it a great vehicle to sleep inside even in urban environments.4.This van could be used for all kinds of camping getaways; such as a trip to Jasper, Banff, The Okanagan, etc.Other things to noteThis van has a very zen and minimalistic set up. It’s designed to provide comfort and flexibility. It is not perfect in the interior, since it has been lived in before in Northern BC. There are some scratches on the inside. The van has no engine issues and runs smoothly. There is a dent on the outside of the trunk from when it was hit slowly by a pick up truck, as well as some rust on the lower trunk. However it has just recently been safetied in BC and there are no issues with the engine. The AC and Heat work great. I only bring up these minor issues so renters know what to expect and are not upset by these imperfections and know what they are renting. I love this van and have had so many fun adventures with it. It’s perfect for people who love adventure like me and travellers. This van has great energy and provides a cozy, comfortable, reliable home on wheels. This van is perfect for 1 person, however 2 people can sleep in it but it will be tight for space since the bed frame is more of a single person design.I am flexible with pick up and drop off times which can be worked out via text. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
