Lake Chelan State Park is located on the forested south shore of Lake Chelan, in Chelan County, Washington. The 139-acre state park is best known for its glacier-fed lake, which stretches across 50 miles and lies where the tall peaks of the Cascade Mountains meet the eastern Washington desert. At one end of the lake is the resort town of Chelan. At the other end is the remote village of Stehekin and the North Cascades National Park.

The recreation area of Lake Chelan State Park encompasses much of the lake, which is Washington State's largest natural lake. It lures people to 6,000 feet of shoreline and sparkling waters, with a calm lagoon to float in and a long beach that is great for sunbathing. Whether you plan to swim, do some freshwater fishing, or go boating, the lake overflows with endless options for aquatic thrills. The park’s launch and dock make it easy to set out on the lake for kayaking, sailing, windsurfing, water-skiing and more. If you’re traveling with kids, the SlideWaters WaterPark offers another fun option for splashing around in the sun near the lake.
Camping at Lake Chelan State Park
Camping with an RV at Lake Chelan State Park is easy, convenient, and offers an experience that can’t be beaten, thanks to the family-friendly campground’s social atmosphere and scenic beauty. The park has 18 partial-hookup campsites, and also offers 17 fully upgraded utility sites that are spacious enough to accommodate large motorhomes. Also available here is 50 amps service and two picnic tables.
Exploring the Area
There are plenty of ways to stay entertained and burn off some energy during your motorhome camping trip at Lake Chelan. The park offers standup paddleboard rentals plus a volleyball court and horseshoe pits. There’s also a playground for the little ones as well as a large, grassy field that is an ideal setting for outdoor games. When hunger strikes, the lake features shaded picnic areas, and the park provides one kitchen shelter (no electricity) and 52 unsheltered picnic tables.
