Not only will you have access to over 5km of beautiful hiking trails and 400 meters of dazzling coastline, but the amenities here are second-to-none. Just 11km south of Vernon, Kekuli Bay Provincial Park is one of the most beautiful spots for camping near Kelowna. Tucked away behind the enchanting Kalamalka Lake, this campsite is an ideal spot for watersports. The site has 81 vehicle-accessible sites, 4 electrical RV hookups, and 8 tented sites that are shaded by mature, pre-planted trees.
If you’re after lakeside views, accessible camping, and plenty of shade, then you’ll appreciate everything that Ellison Provincial Park has to offer. Just 16km from Vernon, this camping area is surrounded by Douglas fir and ponderosa pine trees, giving guests privacy and protection from the blazing summer sun.
Offering 101 vehicle-accessible sites, Fintry Lake Provincial Park is one of the largest Kelowna camping spots on our list. What sets this campground apart from its competitors is the characteristic sloping landscape; with deep canyons, glistening waters, and natural sandy beaches, it’s unsurprising that this campsite sees swathes of visitors passing through each year.
Situated in the stunning Kelowna wilderness area, Heartland Kelowna offers the perfect escape for tourists that are tired of metropolitan living. Spanning 178 acres, this campsite offers glorious views of the Okanagan Valley and its surrounding forestry. Heartland boasts RV campsites, tenting sites, and a dedicated lodge area that often hosts parties, sports screenings, and special events.
If powerful waterfalls, sprawling nature trails, and luscious greenery are your bag, then you’ll simply adore Cedar Falls Campground. Neatly tucked away by BX Falls in the Silver Star Foothills, this hidden gem is one of Vernon’s best-kept secrets.
With its sprawling pebble beaches and rows of ponderosa pine and sagebrush trees, Okanagan Lake Provincial Park is one of British Columbia’s most ethereal campgrounds.
