Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Called “the loveliest village on the plains,” Auburn, Alabama is a town known for its university. With a population of roughly 63,000, Auburn is the largest city in eastern Alabama. It is the hub of the Auburn-Opelika Metropolitan Area. It is often paired with Columbus, GA in statistical analysis to give the entire area a population over 500,000.
Though it is called “the Plains,” Auburn actually has high hills and deep valleys that one expects from east Alabama and west Georgia. The summers are hot and humid. The winters tend to be fairly mild. There are three main creek systems that feed the geography around Auburn, and Chewacla State Park offers the southernmost foothill of the Appalachian mountain range. There are some plains in parts of the area, though. Parts of the plains are fairly undeveloped and used for raising cattle.
Auburn University is the center of the city and the center of its economy. About 25% of the total workforce is employed by the university in some manner. Many of those who rent an RV in Auburn are renting so that they can follow the football team as it travels around the South. Travels to Tuscaloosa for the annual rivalry game are common. The men’s basketball team is a huge draw for fans as well.
