RV rental Strouds Run State Park, OH: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

For hikers camping with an RV in the Strouds Run State Park area, over 11 miles of trails run through the park. Lakeview Trail is the longest, taking you all around the perimeter of the lake. Just make sure you have some good walking shoes on and plenty of time, as it generally takes around 5 hours to complete. In the colder months, the park transforms into a winter wonderland, and the ski trails open, many of which are quite similar to the hiking routes. In addition to hiking trails, there are also 15 mountain bike trails that range in length and difficulty. Some of the longest include the Athens Trail or the Hickory Multi-use Trail. These routes can be a lot of fun, but just be sure to pack a map, so you don't get lost. You could end your day with a tasty picnic at one of the many picnic spots, or an evening around the campfire in the state park RV campgrounds. Dow Lake, which lies within Strouds Run State Park, is the ideal spot for a range of recreational activities. Fishing is one of the most popular things to do in the park, especially thanks to the fact that the lake is constantly stocked with a whole range of fish species, including crappie, catfish, perch, and bass. As long as you have an Ohio fishing license, then you are good to go. Another lake centered activity is swimming, and there is a dedicated swimming area located on the lake's east side. There is a huge 700-foot beach area to enjoy, which is particularly popular in the summer months.
