Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Situated directly between the border of Vermont and Canada lies Lake Memphremagog. Spanning 32 miles long, this fresh glacial lake was named by the Abenaki tribe and means “a big amount of water." This massive lake features over 21 islands and once had many lighthouses before they were eventually demolished.
Lake Memphremagog is about 350 feet deep and is filled with numerous types of fish. At one point, it suffered from severe pollution, especially due to the invasive zebra mussel. However, it has been restored and now provides drinking water to many local residents.
