RV rental Fillmore Glen State Park, NY: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

Fillmore Glen State Park offers plenty of activities for Auburn campers and people who love the great outdoors. At Fillmore Glen State Park, visitors are able to enjoy many recreational activities and experience history at the same time. The three hiking trails offer visitors a chance to see the gorge, streams, and cascades. For those who want to keep it close to the water, Gorge Trail is your best bet. Although it is moderately challenging the views of rock formations, creeks, bridges and unique plants are worth the hike. Along the trail are the major falls in the park including Cowsheds Waterfall, Dalibarda Falls, Upper, and Lower Pinnacle Falls. The South Rim and North Rim trails are equally beautiful. During summer, take a hike down and cool off at the stream-fed swimming pools. This swimming hole is manned by lifeguards so the kids will have a field day in the water. There is a nice large picnic shelter where parents can relax while waiting for their kids or just simply have your picnic lunch here. When you camp at Fillmore Glen State Park, you will discover that the Owasso Lake Inlet, a major tributary of Owasco Lake, is popular with anglers. Brown trout and rainbow trout are regularly stocked. Largemouth bass, black crappie, and northern pike are plentiful. Remember to pack your skis in your campervan rental during winter to enjoy cross-country skiing and explore the narrow gorge. Snowmobiling is also a popular winter sport at Fillmore Glen State Park. For history, lovers are sure to check a replica of a log cabin where president Millard was born.
