Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.
Middletown is a town in Rhode Island that is known for its historic sites, sandy beaches, and vast unspoiled nature preserves. Just as the name implies, the town is perched in-between Newport and Portsmouth in Aquidneck Island. One of Middletown’s best-kept secrets is the Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge. The off the beaten path wonderland should be on your to-visit list when camping in an RV in Middletown. If the sights, sounds, and smells of the sea intrigue you, search for an RV in Newport County and make your dreams a reality.
Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge encompasses about 242-acres of a wide variety of habitats between the Rhode Island Sound and the Sakonnet River. The refuge is one of the largest harlequin duck populations on the Atlantic coast, making it a prime spot for birders. When camping in a rental motorhome at Sachuest Point National Wildlife Refuge, there’s more to see than just ducks. The park has a couple of trails and is within walking distance to Second Beach, Third Beach, and Easton’s Beach. If you’re a culture seeker, some of the nearby towns include Fall River, Warwick, and Providence. Boston is about 69 miles away.
