Let's start with a few questions to narrow down your options.

Does your RV camping trip take you to the upper Midwest? If so, you might want to check out Delaware State Park in Delaware, Ohio. This forested park is located just 45 minutes north of Columbus, an hour southwest of Mansfield, only 20 minutes south of Marion, and is a nearly 1,700-acre hub for campers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Through westward expansion, European colonizers discovered the shores of Lake Erie and decided it would be a good place to build a settlement. In order to protect their families during the war between the Delaware tribe and the British colonizers, the settlers constructed a fortress around the town. After they took the land for their own, they built up this fort which became the beginning of Delaware State Park. In 1951, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers built a flood control dam which created the Delaware Lake. The reservoir caused by the dam later became the park we know today.
This fascinating ecosystem is home to a large variety of wildlife and landscapes. RV campers at Delaware State Park get to enjoy activities such as swimming, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Get your vacation started and book an RV in Delaware County today.
