Yellowstone National Park is the gem of Wyoming, as well as the first national park ever built anywhere in the world. Together with Grand Teton National Park and the three national forests adjacent to the park, a total of eighteen million acres make up the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, one of the largest wilderness areas in the United States. There are majestic herds of bison, towering canyon rock walls, cascading waterfalls, and tremendous geysers as a result of the geological activity that Yellowstone is known for.
