One of the top draws of Lake Jordan is its famous reputation for impeccable fishing opportunities. The lake itself is a top location for many of Alabama's fishing tournaments, up to five being held here every year, and many fishing piers can be found around the edge of the lake. The Coosa River flowing into the lake brings in trophy-sized fish, including spotted bass and largemouth bass exceeding 18 inches in length. Alongside many bass verities, Lake Jordan is also home to sunfish, bluegill, crappie, catfish, and pike. Lake Jordan campers will have this anglers paradise right on their doorstep, reason alone to set up camp at this lake.

Full hookups are provided here, including 20, 30, 50 amp electrical, water, and sewage hookup. Facilities include trash disposals, flushing toilets, a shower block, and a selection of picnic tables. Exploring the Area

Lake Jordan is only a half-hour's drive north from the city of Montgomery, home to an abundance of day trip and sight-seeing opportunities. Among some of the most famous places in the American south is the ‘First Whitehouse of The Confederacy’ in Montgomery. The now-famous building was the residence of Confederate President Jefferson Davis and his family, during the city’s status as the capital, until 1861. Visitors can take a tour of this Italian style building, complete with period furnishes from the 1850s and 1860s. On the register of historic places since the 1970s, the building is an icon of southern history and provides a look into the history of the short-lived confederacy.
