Getting Outdoors
Lake Dunn has been open for fishing since the late 1970s, and since then, anglers have been able to catch some great fish. Largemouth bass of over 16 pounds, catfish of over 30 pounds, has all been landed here. Bank fishing is possible in a few places, but the best bet is to boat fish. There is a boat ramp, and a boat rental also operates at the lake.
Camping at Lake Dunn
Nearly 70 campsites are available in two campgrounds around Lake Dunn, making it a great spot for motorhome camping. Another campground, also with another 30 campsites, is allocated as an equestrian camp should you like to bring your horse and explore the many horse trails in the park. For RV camping at Lake Dunn, the majority of the campsites have electricity and water hookups, and there are restrooms and a playground. These campgrounds are perfect for getting close to nature but have few facilities.
Exploring the Area
With limited facilities at the lakeside campgrounds, it is advisable to stock up your rental RV before heading to the campsite. The largest town on the edge of the Village Creek State Park is Wynne, AR, to the northwest. Here you can find gas stations, plenty of stores and a good choice of restaurants.
