Frequently asked questions
Q.
Should the sewage valve be open or closed while hooked up at the RV Park?
A.
The valve to drain the black and gray tanks should always be closed anytime you aren't actively emptying the tanks. Keeping the valve open will allow the liquids to drain and the solids will not properly break down. This is a situation you want to avoid!
Q.
What's the trick to getting the power cord properly attached to the coach?
A.
BEFORE CONNECTING ANY POWER TO THE RV, BE SURE THE CIRCUIT BREAKER AT THE PARK PEDESTAL IS OFF. To plug the power cord into the coach, you'll plug it in and then turn it slightly to the right to secure it. At that point, you can tighten the plastic nut around the plug. To unplug the unit, turn the plastic nut to the left until it's no longer attached to the coach. Then you'll turn the plug slightly to the left and pull to release the power cord.
Q.
What amp service is available in your RV and is there anything I need to know when plugging the unit in?
A.
The coach provides a 30 amp service. Before connecting power to the RV, ensure that the circuit breaker at the pedestal is in the OFF position. First, plug one end of the power cord into the RV and then make the final connection at the circuit panel. Once both ends are plugged in, you can then turn the circuit breaker to the ON position. The power readout in the Convenience Center will then indicate "30 Amp Service".
Q.
What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
A.
Normal pickup time is 9:00 am or later the day of your rental, and the drop-off time is no later than Noon on the day you return. If you would like to pick the RV up earlier on the day of your rental, we will always try to accommodate you. We also offer prior day pick up after 6 pm for an additional charge and subject to availability. To pick up the night before, you must agree to add a day of insurance to your rental.
