Sequoia National Park is named for its mighty Sequoia trees that are among the most massive trees on Earth. The General Sherman tree, in particular, is an ancient tree larger than any other found in the world. Joshua Tree National Park is one of the most unique parks you might find during your travels, mostly consisting of desert shrubs and bizarre Joshua trees in a desert environment. There are campgrounds nestled between rock formations strewn throughout the park where guests can enjoy bouldering, rock climbing, or gazing at the heavenly night skies while keeping warm by the campfire.
