Getting Outdoors

Fishing is an extremely popular pastime on Copco Lake with a variety of species available to catch. The fish are generally small, but there is plenty of them, including bass, trout, catfish, and perch.

Camping at Copco Lake

While there may not be any RV camping at Copco Lake, there are many local RV parks available. Located on the Klamath River is Blue Heron RV Park, perfect for a family vacation in your rental RV. All the sites at this campground have full hookup, with electricity, water, and sewage. Every site has a concrete pad, plenty of space around it, and a patio area. You will also find free WiFi, along with a boat ramp right into the river. Riverside RV sites and pull-thru sites are available. Other on-site amenities include washrooms with hot showers and flushing toilets and a laundry facility.

Exploring the Area

There isn’t really much of a town at Copco, so for essential items, you will need to travel to either Dorris, CA to the east or Yreka to the south. Both towns can provide you with the basics for camping with an RV, including a gas station, general store, and restaurants.

Our family of five had a great time in Cody's RV! We camped with full hookup and also dry camped for a few days. The RV was fairly easy to handle and Cody gave us a nice tutorial and was very responsive to our questions. This RV is not brand new, but it gets the job done!
