One of the main features of the park, the Rogue River, is a must explore when spending your time here camping with an RV. The park has three miles of shoreline along the river, and the waters are a relaxing way to spend the afternoon when the weather is hot. Tubing is a leisurely activity that outdoor lovers at the park often enjoy since a lazy float along three miles can easily take an hour or two when the water is calm.

The river is also a great place to fish, just be sure you arrange your fishing licenses ahead of time to avoid any fines or punishments. There are many nooks and crannies along the river bed that make for nice, relaxing fishing spots. This state park is longer than it is wide, and the trails that run through it offer a great way to stretch your legs and those of your four-legged friends so long as they are kept on a leash. The main trail is filled with interpretive signs that allow guests to take themselves on a self-guided tour, and over a mile of that trail travels directly along the river’s edge. Additionally, the trails in the park connect to a great trail system, so when you are RV camping at Valley of the Rogue State Park be sure to check out the Rogue River Greenway Trail during your stay.
