Usually, those who like to travel enjoy taking in the outdoors as much as they can. You can’t have RV without recreation - and, boy, does Hesperia and its neighbors have it! When you feel you’ve truly experienced the Butte and all its splendor, take your Hesperia RV rental south to something a bit bigger - Mount San Antonio. Mount San Antonio is known as the “crown jewel” of the San Gabriel Mountains, as it is one of the highest in the range and can be seen by much of Southern California. Many come this way for skiing in the cooler months, however, year-round, four popular hiking routes reach the summit. The trek is something you want to consider only if you are ready to take on a moderately difficult--and long--round trip. You will gain a considerable amount of elevation during the hikes, so, come prepared with adequate food and water to keep your body well-nourished. As you fall in love with the landscape here, too, you will find that you may not want to leave. When you’re prepared with your RV though, you don’t have to leave! Park in any neighboring RV park or resort. You can even head deeper into the Angeles National Forest to stay at any of the available campground sites. Sites here do not have hookups, so come prepared to keep your stay comfortable. It’s good to note that with surrounding towns and cities so close by, you won’t be long without any necessities. If the mountains leave you in awe, yet still wanting more, drive your RV rental near Hesperia to Big Bear Lake. The lake sits about an hour southeast of Hesperia and is accompanied by a quaint town that sits right along its edges. Come here to fish at the lake, visit the Bear Mountain ski resort, or shop in any of the unique gift shops and boutiques that line the streets of Big Bear Lake Village. Just outside the city, you’ll enjoy mountain trails and scenic views. California is always something to look at. You won’t have any trouble finding a place to park your rental out here. There is a whole host of campgrounds, parks, and resorts to choose from. However, they fill up fast, depending on the season!
