The Great Outdoors

Within the Hilmar town limits, you will find George J. Hatfield State Park. While it sounds like an impressive park, it is considered relatively small. However, it is peaceful and when you have a luxury RV rental in Hilmar, this is a quiet place you can stop by and enjoy sitting by the Merced River as it gently winds its way through the valley.

RV Parks

You won’t be lucky enough to find an RV park in town, but not to worry, there are options available to set that best RV rental near Hilmar. One of them is the Merced River RV Resort, just a few miles to the east. It is a decent sized RV park that offers full hookup service, including 50 amp electric. They also have some pull-through sites and big rig access. The grounds are considered level and some are gravel. Many of the sites offer a gorgeous view of the river, too. There are also plenty of trees for shade.

Exploring the City

The Carnegie Arts Center is located in Turlock and is a historic building. The Carnegie Library was originally opened in 1916. It is now one of only a few professional art centers in the Central Valley region. The exhibits here are considered museum quality and they also provide educational classes and programs. Some of the programming is specifically dedicated to children and teenagers, so if you have kids traveling with you in that RV rental in Hilmar, CA, this could give them something to experience.

Joe and Erin provided exceptional responses to my questions and easy pickup/return. They provided videos of setup and tear down that explained everything I needed to know to operate the Minnie-Winnie. The RV drove well and was is perfect condition. Would rent again. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful trip. This van is fully loaded. Modern creature comforts abound. Jeremy is hands-down one of the best hosts. From start to finish, he was flexible, communicative, and attentive. He anticipates needs, answers questions thoroughly, and his warm professionalism made everything easy. Pickup and drop-off were smooth. He made us feel confident with the van’s systems before we left.
