Discover Manteca RV rentals for memorable road trips

The Golden State has experienced several population booms over the years. One of them came with the 1849 gold rush. The Central Valley had a growth spurt of its own, albeit a much later one. As late as the 1970s, Manteca and other nearby towns were quiet farming hamlets. Less than a generation later, they were home to thousands of San Francisco-area commuters. This surge of growth makes now a great time to experience “the Family City” and nearby communities. Much of the quiet agrarian atmosphere remains, yet Manteca has one of the strongest heartbeats in San Joaquin County. At the rate these towns are growing, that balance may not last much longer, so book an RV in Manteca today.

City Attractions

People may prefer to celebrate Manteca’s history in different ways. For these individuals, the Lucca Winery is worth a stop with the Manteca motorhome rental. In the 1950s, Guido Lucchesi began making a few bottles of homemade wine with different kinds of zinfandel grapes from the family farm. In 1990, his son significantly expanded the venture. Today, it covers over 400 acres. The family says that the vines must grow deeper to find water in the area’s sandy soil, and that gives Lucca wines a richer flavor. We just know that it makes for an excellent glass of wine. Like many other places you can take your Manteca rental RV in the area, Tesoro Park is practically brand new. It’s not the biggest park in the world, but it is extremely green and extremely well-kept. With its two big playgrounds and numerous barbecue grills, Tesoro Park is a great place for families to spend a warm afternoon.

What’s Unique

The blend of really old and really new makes Manteca one of the most unique destinations in central California. In many other fast-growing communities, there is tension between longtime residents and new arrivals. But there’s very little such friction in the San Joaquin Valley. There are just lots and lots of families who try the best they can to do the most good that they can. And that’s a very nice place to visit or permanently set down roots. Either way, a camper rental in Manteca may be the best way to experience this friendly city.

Where to Park It

A growing population means lots of very good RV parks. Two Rivers RV Park is a good example. The camp is located at the junction of the San Joaquin and Stanislaus Rivers, so there is wildlife aplenty. There’s also lots of very good fishing, which is probably why a Bass Pro Shop is close at hand. Be advised that Two Rivers is more of a camping site than an RV park.

The Food

Not surprisingly, fresh fish is a staple in Manteca. The variety of wildlife throughout the region also means variety on your dinner plate. For some authentic fish tacos, try the Taqueria Manteca or the Taqueria La Estrella. There are plenty of comfort food places as well, like the venerable Johnny’s Restaurant on Yosemite. For something a little different, try Billie Hills Hillbillie BBQ. Cute name, huh? Of course, doing your own cooking is one of the benefits of having a Manteca RV rental. There are plenty of corner markets where you can pick up something fresh for dinner.

"Winter" is an awesome camper van! We enjoyed taking this well-outfitted and easy-to-drive van on a one week adventure with our 2 dogs. James is very easy-going and very responsive. Winter drives straight, is comfortable for long drives, has plenty of power, and has more than enough storage. The built-in AT&T Wi-Fi was handy, as we have Verizon, and there were times only one of the two would have a connection. Having filtered drinking water on board is golden. We enjoyed Winter so much, we are talking about buying one just like it!

Mike was the best host you could ask for. Very helpful throughout our trip and the vehicle itself was amazing.
