Joshua Tree, Big Bear, Anza-Borrego all have great camping sites. We love to go to Lake Hemet too! Or take a week or two to explore all that California has to offer.Other things to noteThe roof top tent is listed as 3 person, but more comfortably sleeps 2 adults. The optional tent (minimal additional charge) is listed to sleep 4, so 3 adults more comfortably. This rig will support 4 adults, but a 5th would be cozy while travelling in the truck. If you have more than 2 travelers, we highly recommend getting the additional tent. While this rig is a 4x4 and can go a lot of places, please do not take the rig anywhere that cannot be reached by a tow truck. Drive those dirt roads, but no "Rock Crawling".Keep in mind that if you get stuck, you are liable for getting the truck unstuck and any damage caused. If you are in the middle of nowhere, this could be very costly. You are ultimately responsible for any towing charges not covered by roadside assistance and for any damages not covered by your insurance.
