The name is technically misleading because marketers made the claim that the town had never been affected by frost in an effort to attract more farmers to the area. Only a few short years after the town began to grow, frost killed off all of the citrus crops in Frostproof.

The Great Outdoors
There are quite a few public spaces to enjoy when you rent an RV in Frostproof. Lake Clinch Park unsurprisingly sits on the shores of Lake Clinch with gorgeous views of the water. Adjacent to Lake Mirror is Hollis Gardens, a delightful botanical garden featuring a wide array of exotic plant species. The garden is adorned with sculptures and ornate fountains and weddings are commonly held in the outdoor space beside the water.

Perfect size, easy to maneuver, very functional. Natasha and Ricky were very thorough in explaining the details, graciously allowed us to pick up the RV early, and allowed us extra time to return it (CAUTION: other bookings may make this impossible--we were fortunate). In addition, we called on Sunday from Ginnie Springs because one of the slides was not functioning, and within a matter of hours Natasha and Ricky had located a service company who came out and fixed the problem.
