The Grand Valley is full of world class mountain biking, hiking, wineries, fishing, kayaking, rafting, SUPing, bird watching, etc. We are nestled in a valley surrounded by The Grand Mesa, The Colorado National Monument, The Bookcliffs, the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers. The abundance of land is mind boggling! Grand Junction is surrounded by more than a million acres of public lands. Some places might require permits or fees, just remember these fees go towards conservation and management of the lands. There are over 20 official campsites within the Grand Valley. Two of our favorite places to camp are 18 Rd in Fruita and Knowles Overlook (Rabbit Valley) in Loma. There is no better place to enjoy the sunrise in the morning, the sun setting in the evening and the deserts' starry night sky.Grand Junction has a happening downtown with a fun, vibrant Main Street.
