The trailer we decorated so wonderfully, it gave you the 1970’s vibe that my event was looking for. It arrived on time and the owner could park it on a dime. My only issues was at the pick-up, campers get used and they are lived in. The owner was not happy because a few things were not exactly as she left it. The window screens are very delicate, one fell off. The curtain in front of the bed had clips that were not connected to the current exactly as they were when it was parked. A few other minor issues as well. We repaired all of them. Then the cutting board was missing and she wanted it replaced but when I went back it was in the cabinet above. This was only the 3rd time it was rented so maybe it was something new for her but it made me feel uncomfortable. I was being kind and trying to make light of the normal process when you rent things. I know I own a rental company and have to be understanding about returns.

Rules and policies
Rules of the Road for Travel Trailers Check Your Towing Setup Before Every Trip Inspect hitch, safety chains, wiring, brake connections, and tires. Make sure your trailer is properly balanced and secured. Drive Slower and Allow Extra Stopping Distance Towing a trailer increases weight and length—slow down and keep a bigger gap for braking. Use Lower Gears on Hills and Descents Use engine braking and avoid overheating your brakes going downhill. Take Wider Turns Trailers cut inside tighter than your tow vehicle—allow extra space at corners and roundabouts. Be Mindful of Height and Width Clearances Know your trailer’s dimensions to avoid low bridges, overhangs, and narrow lanes. Signal Early and Clearly Give plenty of advance notice before lane changes or turns—your trailer needs extra time. Avoid Sudden Maneuvers Sudden braking or steering can cause sway or loss of control. Make smooth, gradual movements. Watch for Trailer Sway If you feel sway, gently ease off the accelerator and avoid abrupt steering—use trailer brake controller if equipped. Use Mirrors Properly Install extended towing mirrors for better visibility around the trailer. Follow Legal and Speed Limits for Towing Many states have reduced speed limits for vehicles towing trailers—follow local laws. Plan Your Route Avoid narrow roads, steep grades, or low-clearance obstacles unsuitable for trailers. Don’t Overload Your Trailer Respect the Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) for safe handling. Practice Parking and Backing Up Use a spotter if possible; go slow and steady when reversing. Secure All Doors, Windows, and Slide-Outs Before Driving Double-check everything is locked and retracted to avoid damage. Take Frequent Breaks Rest, check your trailer and tires, and re-secure loads on long trips.
