The park is located just south of the small town of Nashville. It is also an hour's drive east of St. Louis, Missouri, which is the nearest large city. Other cities within easy driving distance include Mt. Vernon and Evansville, Indiana.

There are so many fun outdoor activities to enjoy when you camp in an RV at Washington County State Park. With such a large, beautiful lake on-site, boating is a huge attraction. There are two boat ramps within the park, as well as boat docks. Boat rentals are also available if you didn't bring watercraft of your own. Powered boats are allowed, though motors shouldn't exceed 10 horsepower. You can go fishing in the lake via boat or just along the shoreline. Several species are living in the lake; anglers can hook largemouth bass, sunfish, carp, bluegill, crappie, and channel catfish.
Camping at Washington County State Park
RV camping at Washington County State Park is an enjoyable experience thanks to the many shaded sites there. Most sites have electrical hookups, and there are dump stations for your convenience. In the middle of the park, there is a building with showers and restrooms. The showers are open from the beginning of April through the end of October.

When you book an RV in Washington County, you will be very close to the town of Nashville, Illinois. This small town is going to be the easiest place to refuel your motorhome rental and pick up supplies at a local market. The town also has a small library, a community center, and a city park. If you get hungry, you'll find a grill, a pizzeria, a bakery, and a few other dining options where you can pick up a meal.

The RV was very nice with comfortable beds and furniture. The best part of the RV for us was the 2 showers which both had plenty of hot water. This was the first time that I stayed in a camper without having to take quick showers that were cold after the first 5 minutes or having to wait between showers for the water heater to recover.
The only complaint about the trip was the inability of the AC to keep up with the mid afternoon heat. I don't fault the RV though. The Heat index outside was >115. Once the sun went down it cooled off and was perfect overnight.
I will definitely rent this camper again if available next year.

Mike couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful! He made sure that we knew how to safely pull and set up the camper. It was sooooo much easier than setting up a camp site. The equipment was clean and like new, and everything worked perfectly. Highly recommend!!! A+ trip!

Monica was available to answer all of my questions from the start of the reservation process all the way to the end when I returned it. The camper had everything I could need and then some. It was very clean, comfortable and a joy to use. I highly recommend renting from Monica!
