If it's a nice quiet campground you're looking for when in Muncie, Indiana, then you'll want to check in to Big Oak Park where, as the name suggests, the abundance of really big old oak trees will give you plenty of shade from the summer heat The same trees are also quite effective at blocking out a good amount of city and highway noise. Close enough to the highway for easy access, and just 4 miles off the interstate, Big Oak Park offers reasonably level, grassy pull throughs with ample elbow room, lots of shade, and picnic tables. Hookups include 30 and 50 amp electric, plus water and sewer. The owners are very friendly and hospitable, and if you call ahead they will reserve a site for you and meet you on arrival to direct you in, unless you would rather just arrive and pick your own site. The park is pet friendly, however the campground is rather rustic, so there are are no amenities to speak of.
