Wooden boxdrop trailer, hand built and ready to roll! Built on a 4x8 trailer bed. Super comfy for one, or for a couple that likes to cuddle.
My partner and I have a 2011 RAV4 and it tows great. Less then 1,500 pounds when we have all our water and gear loaded up. Most cars with a hitch should have no problem towing it.
Two solar panels, a 12V battery, and 1000W inverter allow you to charge your phones, tablets, and laptops easily inside the trailer. There are USB ports and a 12V cigarette lighter connector. The lights inside and outside (including the motion sensor light) of the trailer are completely solar powered.
There is some storage underneath the bed space and it can be accessed from inside or outside the trailer. We put our kayak paddles and extra blankets down there, for example. Two shelves inside the trailer provide ample space for clothing and important personal items.
The kitchen on the back is our favorite part! Functioning sink, 2 burner stove, oven, and fuel included. Lights above the kitchen make it easy to cook when the sun goes down.
A leveling jack on the front and legs on the back make it easy to camp on varied terrain.
Best on roads that are serviced, or forest service roads in dry places (AZ,CO) that don’t have too many pot holes. Not for off-roading.
Delivery/pick-up available within approx an 100 mile radius, subject to additional costs for gas. What's includedMemory foam mattress, sheets, 2 pillows, and as many blankets as you want! Standard is 2 blankets for inside, plus an extra for picnicking. Basic cookware and dishes: Pot, pan, spatulas, 2 plates, 2 bowls, spoons, forks, butter knives, cups. Hammock upon request.RecommendationsWe have taken our Boxdrop to Wisconsin, Illinois, and through Nebraska to Colorado. We love having camp days in between long hiking days where we download a movie to watch in the trailer and utilize the kitchen to make a cozy meal. The oven is unbeatable for camp nachos, baked pasta, and even brownies! We almost always stay at dispersed/free camping sites. As long as the road isn’t too rocky, the trailer does great and really has everything you need.Awesome for chilly nights as it is very well insulated. Love it for late fall/early winter camping in the Midwest! Other things to noteNo matter what your smoking, please do so outside the trailer. Other than that have fun and enjoy!
