The Great Outdoors
Anderson Dean community park is where to head if you want to enjoy the great outdoors without straying too far from town. The area includes an aquatic facility, two miles of walking and biking trails, picnic shelters, sports courts, a disc golf course a skate park and lots more spaces for recreational activities.

Just outside of town to the east is Chimney Rock RV Park, which offers both back in and pull through RV sites. It is located right next door to a beautiful lake and marina and provides some great activities for guests such as swimming, fishing, and boating. There are also some nice restaurants within walking distance. Within the park itself there is a swimming pool and a playground, and for your convenience, there are laundry facilities, restrooms, and hot showers, and each site also has a picnic table and a fire pit, so make sure to bring the smores. Exploring the City
One of the city’s biggest tourist attractions is Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill. This National Historic Landmark comprises of 34 original Shaker structures and has a busy calendar of hands-on music, programs, and tours, as well as recreational activities in the Preserve. The center also offers seed to table meals, paddles up the river, and boat rides. Spend ages exploring all of the buildings before stopping for a bite to eat at the restaurant or browsing the shops.

My husband and I along with another couple set out on a cross country trip to Yellowstone, Blackhills, Badlands and Tetons. The RV was great.
