One of the only rigs on island that can carry kayaks, or boards over the roof top tent!
Seating for 5. With air conditioning to keep you chillin while you explore the island. Smittybilt rooftop tent, big enough for two with a comfortable mattress. Custom overland rack with roll up tonneau cover keeps your gear dry and safe. This opens up your trip from just camping, to full on adventure mode. Also has custom made pull out kitchen with pop down sink and 5 gallon water reservoir, propane stove, utensils foil, French press coffee maker, paper plates, soap, paper towels etc.

Strap your rental SUP boards or Kayaks to the custom racks and go for it!! Don’t choose between camping gear and beach gear, with Chewie you can have it all.
What a better way to wake up on Kauai than looking out the window of your cozy roof top tent on a colorful Kauai sunrise. Then sip some French brewed coffee and enjoy all Kauai has to offer!
Please plan your taxi or uber to and from the airport ahead of time because on our small island they can fill up fast and be hard to find at the last minute if you are rushing to the airport at the end of your trip. I charge customers $200 if they have to drive my truck to the airport and leave it there at the end of their trip.
What's includedA full tank of gas to start your adventure. (Please refill before returning)
Bedding and pillows for two. (More bedding sets available upon request)
Pull out kitchen with propane stove, sink, 5 gallon water tank, frying pan, kettle, coffee press, one can of propane, lighter, cooking/eating utensils, paper plates and coffee mugs.
2 beach chairs.
Tie down straps for kayaks or boards
Tow strap
Jumper cables
Emergency toilet paper
RecommendationsThere is no road that goes all the way around the island so If you want to see the famous and amazing NaPali coast you have to either hike it or take a boat or helicopter tour. (Google it, you'll see)Polihale beach (west side of the island) is a must do for camping but get your permits early at camping.ehawaii.govKokee state park (In the mountains) is also amazing and highly recommended. get permits at camping.ehawaii.govThere are also private camp grounds and cabins in Kokee at YWCA Camp Sloggett, make reservations at ywcakauai.orgPrivately owned camp ground on the east side of Kauai at Kumu Camp in Anahola. Reservations can be made at kumucamp.orgAll Kauai County parks do not allow vehicular camping so you need to use the ground tent at these which include Anini Beach Park Camp ground on the north shore, Salt Pond Beach Park on the west side, and Lydgate Beach Park on the east side. Permits for county camping can be found at Kauai.gov/parksAnother very popular thing to do is hike our famous Napali coast on the north shore but to do so you need a hiking permit and a parking permit which can be found at gohaena.comYou can also try to find your own camp site somewhere unmarked just make sure to be respectful or those around you. There are many surfboard and Kayak rentals all over the island for good prices. Other things to noteAirport delivery NOT INCLUDED.
I live about 23 miles for the Lihue airport and have a full time job so I do not have time to do deliveries, plus they don’t allow it at our airport. Our island has Uber Lyft and traditional taxi services. I recommend organizing your rides to and from the airport ahead of time so you don’t run into a time crisis trying to make your flight back home. If for some reason you do have to drive my truck to the airport and leave it there, I charge a $200 fee.
I do a totally contact free pick up and drop off, I will give you a door code the day before your trip. There are a lot of places with no cell service around here. Make a plan and tell someone who is not coming with you about it. Be safe and enjoy.

Hi, I am an avid outdoorsman and have build my truck to suit. I love to be out in the mountains or down by the beach but always need to be doing something fun. I have to be able to bring all my toys and friends along. I have built my truck camper to accommodate my adventures and now want to share it with you.
