The Great Outdoors
There are quite a few intriguing natural areas around the city when you rent a camper in Minden. One of the best places to visit is located just north of the city, called Caney Lakes Recreation Area. This park is situated within Kitsatchie National Forest and features some great activities the whole family will enjoy. These activities center around Caney Lake, a picturesque lake with beautiful rolling hills as a backdrop. Some lakeside activities here include swimming, picnicking, and boating. Fishing is also popular here, and catches include bass, catfish, and panfish.
RV Parks
There are a few campgrounds dotted around when you book an RV in Minden, and one of the best equipped is Cinnamon Creek RV Park. This park consists of over 80 gravel sites with full hookups that support 30 and 50 amp electric. There's room for your big rig here, and there are pull-through sites for easy access. Amenities are fairly basic and consist mainly of restrooms and showers. There's not much recreation on-site either, although the nearby lake provides water recreation including canoeing and fishing.

There are a few interesting activities in and around the city when you rent an RV in Minden. The city is big enough that it should provide plenty of dining and shopping options. Other nearby cities include Filmore and Arcadia, which are within driving distance and offer different experiences to Minden if you want to see something new. This museum is focused on making sure the history of Minden is appropriately preserved and features artifacts and documents from the city's past. This collection includes artifacts from the Civil War, information on local Caddo Indians and even 1920's automobiles.
