Getting Outdoors

Borderland State Park is a mountain biker's paradise and is one of the best-ranked riding areas in the state. This is largely due to its lack of intermediate level trails and more hard technical trails that are better suited to an experienced rider. The tracks are mainly dirt roads and wind their way around the landscape and the parks many lakes. There are also some single tracks located at the northern end of the park, but be prepared to face lots of rocks and roots. There are even a few 'bare rock' trails, which adds to the difficulty of the terrain.

Camping at Borderland State Park

There are a few options for camping at Borderland State Park, and one option is the Canoe River Campground. This family-friendly,best-ranked camping site offers wooded sites, most of which feature a fireplace and picnic table as well as sewer, water, and 30, 50 amp electric hookups. For a small fee, you can also choose to have WiFi. There is plenty to entertain yourself with while on-site such as an arcade, sports courts, a horseshoe pit, two, large recreation hall, a playground, two pools, an on-site snack bar, and more.

The city of Boston is just a short drive away and is wonderful to explore, no matter the time of year. Spend a whole day wandering around the downtown area, visiting the many shops and eateries, and visiting some of the local attractions.
