The small community of Vassar is about 20 miles east of Saginaw, Michigan. Since its founding in the mid-1800s, Vassar was a lumber town for many decades, and the area still has quite a few railways used for business and transportation. Prior to the arrival of European settlers, Native Americans inhabited the area and thrived thanks to the mild summers, replenishing water sources, and fertile soil. With beautiful scenery and magnificent wildlife in every direction, Vassar is an excellent place to rent an RV.
