Getting Outdoors
One of the most popular activities for those that go camping with an RV at Arkabulta Lake is fishing. The lake is best known for its crappie fishing and is locally known as a crappie paradise. There are also catfish, spotted bass, longear sunfish, white bass, and largemouth bass available to those that come to the lake to fish. There is a boat launch for easy access when you want to head out on a boat and plenty of parking and access to the shoreline should you wish to stay on dry land.
Camping at Arkabutla Lake
Hernando Point Campground is one of the campgrounds you could choose for your RV rental around the shores of Arkabutla Lake, and the campground is open year-round. There are 83 family camping sites available and a group day-use shelter. All of these come with electric hook-ups. There are also a number of other facilities available for campers, which include showers, drinking water, and flush toilets. The campground is right on the waterfront, offering some lovely views of the water and surrounding hills, with a mix of trees offering plenty of shade.
Exploring the Area
Get a Memphis camper rental and pay a visit to the world-renown city of Memphis. There is so much to do in this historic metropolis, and at just a half an hour drive away, it is an easy day trip. Thomas got us everything we needed for a great trip. Had coffee pot, coffee, filters kitchen towel and throw blanket. No towels for showers ,so bring your own. Everything was set up and ready to go.
