Just a 30-minute drive south of Memphis sits Olive Branch, Mississippi, one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Settled in the 1830s and avoiding much of the violence that plagued this section of the South during the Civil War, it is now home to many residents who have moved from Memphis to enjoy the peace and solitude of the suburbs. However, despite its proximity to the city, there aren’t a lot of public transportation options between Memphis and Olive Branch.
The city sits in the northwest corner of the state; in an area known as the Delta Region. This area, near the banks of the Mississippi and Yazoo River, is most known for its cotton production in the 1800s and later as the birthplace of both jazz and blues music. That vibrant nightlife and excellent live music persist to this day, and when you book an RV in Olive Branch you can experience this culturally rich region.
Being on the very edge of a medium-sized metropolitan area, you won’t need to drive too far with your Olive Branch motorhome rental to find some great places to enjoy nature. Just looking for a place to spread out the picnic blanket or go for a relaxing stroll? To get your 18-hole fix, check out the golf course on the edge of town.
Hot Springs National Park is also only a three-hour drive away, making for an interesting day trip or overnighter with your Olive Branch RV rental. It’s one of America’s most urban national parks and encompasses much of the town of Hot Springs, Arkansas. However, it also has tons of hiking trails and camping opportunities once you’ve had your fill of lazing around in the soothing spring waters. For some closer to town, head to Holly Springs National Forest - the pine forests and hardwood swamp bottoms are perfect for exploring with your Olive Branch travel trailer rental.
