Named for the Anaconda Mountains, Anaconda is a medium-sized town in southwestern Montana between the cities of Bozeman and Missoula. Anaconda was first established back in the late 19th century when the mining industry was absolutely booming, and smelters were being built everywhere to process the large amount of copper ore being extracted from nearby mines in the mountains. When Montana was formally admitted to the country, Anaconda was proposed as a potential capital, but Helena wound up remaining the state capital.

For a small town in the mountains of a sparsely populated state, Anaconda happens to be a lovely place to explore when you are in the mood to spend time in town. Flea markets, small-town diners, antique shops, art galleries, and breweries can be found up and down the main streets of the city, and are often housed in historic buildings. The Deer Lodge County Courthouse, Club Moderne, and the Hearst Free Library are just a few of the historic structures in town that are worth seeing on a walking tour. The Washoe Theatre is an antiquated picture house that lets you step back in time and enjoy old films in a gorgeous art deco theater. This decadent auditorium has ornate ceilings, chandeliers, and lots of other fine details that make for an awesome experience.

Ashlee & Jason were great- very responsive, great instructions, and super accommodating. Rudy is in fantastic shape, low mileage, no issues whatsoever, and the bed was quite comfy! It also had everything we needed. We would definitely use them/Rudy again!

Great communication from William. He was easy to work with coordinating drop off and pick up of his trailer. It was tidy and clean. The generator was wonderful - very quiet! The larger bunk beds were nice for my teens. I would definitely recommend this trailer to anyone. A+
