Enjoy the glamour of the Reno strip and the sweeping Nevada countryside from Keystone RV Park. This well-landscaped, modern RV park is easily approachable via Interstate 80 for those approaching from outside of town. There are 104 spaces for RVs, all with electrical hookups, and convenient amenities that include a reception area, cable television and telephone access. Both long- and short-term guests are welcome, along with their furry friends. Spend the day exploring local lakes and parks before an evening of gaming and entertainment, and opportunities for both are only minutes away. The park itself is surrounded by the scenic Sierra Mountains, Lake Tahoe is nearby, and the Rancho San Rafael Regional park is just a few miles north. All this less than two miles from the activity in downtown Reno, and that?s not just the famous casinos like Circus Circus or the Silver Legacy Resort and Casino. Other attractions on the strip include the Reno Events Center and the National Automobile Museum. Guests can also watch the Aces play at Greater Nevada Field, which is across from the National Bowling Center.
Arguably the most beautiful marathon in the world, the Lake Tahoe Marathon has grown into a premier, 3-day running festival, attracting thousands of athletes and visitors each year. For some people though, 26.2 miles just isn't far enough. Running fanatics can try their hand at the triple half or triple marathon for three full days of running. Or, they can go after one of the ultras with distances including one, two, or three full laps around Lake Tahoe! On the other end of the spectrum, events including a 5k, 10k, and a Free Kids Fun Run sponsored by the Optimist Club of South Lake Tahoe round out the full weekend of events.
From concerts by big name artists, to live music in a restaurant and club by local musicians, to someone with a guitar just passing through, the air around tahoe is positively humming with music!
The Campground by the Lake is an incredible campground right by the lake. Featuring multiple RV sites, campgrounds, a recreation complex with pool, gym and basketball, along with an ice rink, this campground is THE place to go for a wonderful vacation. Sites are huge inside this park so fear not the RV rental you choose but take your time as the trees don't give! Once in you can walk, bike, or take the bus to everywhere there is to be in South Lake Tahoe.
Pick a smaller RV if this is your destination as it is back in the trees. Want to see some of the great campgrounds the city of Los Angeles (yes Los Angeles) maintains up in the high Sierra? This is one of them. Plenty of trails to keep the kids busy and starry night skies to enjoy.
