Getting Outdoors

Make sure to bring your swimsuit and fishing pole along in your travel trailer; Conesus Lake creates just the right conditions for swimming and fishing in the summer, thanks to its shallow depths. The shoreline is on the northern end of the lake and is mostly residential. If you’re here during the swimming season, head to Long Point Park to take a refreshing dip in the lake. The park includes a playground for the kiddos, plus picnic tables, a rentable pavilion, and barbecue equipment.

Camping at Conesus Lake

A few campgrounds and other accommodations can be found at the northern tip of the lake in Lakeville, which is one of the largest towns located directly on Conesus Lake. One option to consider for local camping with an RV is the Conesus Lake Campground. This regularly updated and tranquil setting offers over one hundred high-quality RV sites, large, grassy tent sites, and cabins. There are around 70 sites available with full hookups, including cable, sewer, water, electric, and WiFi. Campground amenities include restrooms and showers, a laundromat, a camp store, and rentals for kayaks, pontoon boats, and rowboats.

Exploring the Area

There’s plenty going on to entertain you and your travel companions in this beautiful region. A great way to get a sense of the area surrounding Conesus Lake is to take a leisurely cruise in your camper rental around the entire lake, which you’ll be able to do in just about 30 minutes or so.
