RV rental Kring Point State Park, NY: Motorhome rentals, camper van rentals and more

There are over 100 campsites at the park in total, and approximately half of that total is available for those camping with an RV. These sites are interspersed throughout the park, ensuring that there are no large collections of RVs in one area to ruin any of the beautiful river views. All of the RV campsites have access to water and electricity at the sites themselves, and centrally located dump stations are available for guests to use when needed. Throughout the various campgrounds, there are varying levels of privacy; it depends on the specific site and user preferences. All of the sites have grills and picnic tables, and there are a few different locations where guests can use the conveniently located hot showers and flushing toilets during their stay. For campers seeking pull-through RV sites, it is best to call ahead to ensure one is available, as the majority of the RV sites at this park are back-in sites.

Alexandria Bay is one of the closest towns to the state park, and although it isn’t huge, it still has nearly everything a guest could want or need during their stay. A small collection of local restaurants are located in the downtown of Alexandria Bay, with options ranging from pizza to family-style dining, local cafes and bistros, pubs, and even a few fancier options. Alexandria Bay is also one of the more convenient places to fill up on gas. The St. Lawrence River and the thousands of islands that its waters flow around are a unique thing to see, but even more interesting are the various castles that are built on these islands in the area. Singer Castle, which is over a century old, is a 28 room castle that is open to guests seeking tours. There are hundreds of artifacts to view, secret passageways to explore, and panoramic views to enjoy from its tall towers. The Boldt Castle is another great option, and the five acres of land it rests on contain formal gardens that are gorgeous when in bloom. Outdoor enthusiasts seeking to learn about the area should head to the Cornwall Brothers Museum, which is located in Alexandria Bay. This museum, which is located in a stone building that was built in 1866, is entirely focused on the history of local settlers in the area. It covers their lifestyles, their trading routes and supplies, their means of commerce, and more. The museum is worth seeing when you camp in an RV near Alexandria Bay since it will give you a grasp on the area you are exploring.
