Hey there! My husband, Kyle and I live in Norwalk with our 4 kickass kids. We both grew up camping with our families and some of our best memories are from hot summer days fishing random streams and cold fall evenings sitting around the campfire. Kyle grew up camping in RVs across the midwest while I lived the life of luxury in a nylon Barbie tent at the same local campground most weekends. We tried tent camping for a couple summers when our oldest was little but it didn't last long. She was a trooper- I was not. We soon upgraded to a cute little pop up camper that we'd tow with our minivan. Our kids continued to develop the same love of camping and exploring so we took that little pop up out every chance we got. We added a couple more kids and that cute little pop up became the bane of my weekends. Too many people, too little space. The last straw was a terribly windy and rainy summer morning as we were packing to go home- I pulled my rotator cuff as we were closing the camper and I told Kyle we could upgrade to a trailer or we would never camp again. If I knew that's all it would take I would have pulled it a lot sooner.
Our favorite spot to camp is in NE Iowa. We love the Marquette/McGregor area. That's where I tricked Kyle into falling in love with me. He took me to a primitive campsite to rough it in a tent, a train track to the left and a gang of 100+ bikers on my right. I didn't complain once...to him. My chat thread to my sister was another story though. If you avoid the trains and biker gangs though, the towns in NE Iowa are magical. So many charming shops, delicious hole-in-the-wall restaurants, the friendliest people, and the most beautiful views in Iowa.
We've loved taking our family all over to make the same kind of memories we hold so dearly and always hope to each other our kids look back on the life we've created and think their childhood was amazing. We hope this camper helps you make lifelong memories with the people you love, too.
