Rock Creek State Park is located about seven miles west of Grinnell and just four miles from Newton in Central Iowa. Sitting on the eastern part of Jasper County, Rock Creek State Park got its name from Rock Creek that cuts through the park. The 602-acre Rock Creek Lake is the main feature of this state park. With over 15 miles of shorelines, this lake is best known for its fishing. There are many boat launches and docks conveniently located along the lake.
