Say hello to Jolene the Scamp! Super fun and easy fiberglass camper is light (1350 lb. dry weight) making her a breezy to tow to your favorite campground or take her off the grid by almost any vehicle with a tow hitch. Sleeps 2 comfortably, comes with a shower/bathroom, 2 burner stove, water heater, fridge, sink, Max fan, awning, screen door, lots of lights, USB charging ports, a dinette that converts to a bed and lots of storage space. Small pets welcome (I have an 80lb dog- I bring pup tent for her).
Campsite parking is simple as you can connect to shore power and water, but she is also adept at boondocking with propane (stove, water heater, fridge), fresh water storage, and grey water tanks. For an understanding of her capabilities and as an instructional video before/during rental, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qy6hvsQFyc
What's includedIn order to rent Jolene, you will need a trailer hitch with a 2" ball. It comes with a 7 pin connector but I have an adapter if you have a 4 pin (only difference is that a 7 pin will recharge the battery while driving which is not an issue if you have shore power for any trip more than 2-3 days).I include the minimum items because of limited storage/logistics and everyone's "needs" are different. But I have many items that I can add to the listing for a minimal fee that I will list below. Included is a bottom bed sheet, a large outdoor "flooring mat" a hose for shore water, a heater (only use this with shore power as it will use battery power quickly), a brush/pan for cleanup, and external anti-theft devices.
Additional items upon request:
Full size 3" memory foam topper ($10/trip)
Flannel sleeping bag that doubles as a cozy duvet ($10)
Camping chairs set of 2 ($10)
Folding table ($10)
Large cooler that keeps ice frozen 2-3 days ($10)
Delivery within 50 miles available upon request.
Here is my packing recommendations: TP (RV type preferred), paper towels, cleaning product/sponge, toiletries, pans/cups/utensils/cookware, headlamp, pillows, sheets, Bluetooth speaker, flip flops, garbage bags.
RecommendationsThe world is your oyster! Beach camping, National Parks, boondocking in the forest or the desert, there are very few places Jolene the Scamp can't go!Other things to noteAbsolutely no smoking in the Scamp please. Please watch the video and keep the link handy so you know how to use everything once at campsite (I used to rent too. The owner would tell me all the instructions and I maybe remembered 50% by the time I got to campsite). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qy6hvsQFycBacking the Scamp into a parking space is a skill. Having a person to guide you if inexperienced is huge. A nice thing about the Scamp is she is so light that a stronger person can move her- this comes in handy for hooking up/detaching Jolene where you need to move her a few inches.Have fun! Renting for the first time and learning how everything works can seem daunting. It's much more simple than you think. And learning is part of the fun! But be careful not to get addicted because there is a 2 year wait to order a new Scamp! Also be prepared at campsites for many strangers to approach you because Jolene is super cute and she is unique on the West Coast (Scamp manufactures in MN and only sells direct to consumer). Please return Jolene in a similar condition she was left to you, BUT...
If you don't have time to clean, I can do it for you:
Empty grey and black water tanks: $30.
*Every campsite has the ability to empty tanks.
General cleaning: $30.

Zooey and I love the beach and being outdoors. You can find me surfing or playing beach volleyball when not in nature. I bought Jolene the Scamp to essentially have an Air BnB on wheels that I could rent out to others who love getting away but don't want to spend a ton and are over sleeping in a tent.

Q.What flexibility is available for picking up and dropping off the RV?
    A.
Yes, I can deliver and pick up (up to 50 miles from my home) for an additional fee.

    Q.How do I get a trailer hitch?
    A.
Ahh, step 1. The easiest thing to do is go to your local U-haul dealer. They typically have to order the hitch that matches your car and once that is available, they can install on same day. I have never heard anybody beating their prices. A second option if you want to leave on your trip immediately? Rent a pickup truck at U-Haul (or elsewhere) and make sure it comes with a tow hitch. This is actually the cheapest, quickest option if you don't want to commit to getting a hitch installed.

Q.Can my car tow your Scamp?
    A.
I have a 4 cylinder Ford Edge SUV. It's rated to tow up to 1500 lbs and I picked up Jolene in MN and camped her back across the country. If you have questions about your vehicle, simply Google what is the dry weight towing capacity of your vehicle.
