In the southwestern corner of Ohio between Dayton and Cincinnati, you can rent an RV and explore the incredible little city of Lebanon. This suburb in the Cincinnati metropolitan area is loaded with historical sites, beautiful parks, and amazing shopping areas full of fine dining spots and lively nightlife hangouts. Lebanon was founded in the late 1700s by settlers from Bourbon County in Kentucky, who chose to settle on Turtle Creek, a tributary of the Little Miami River.

With Interstate 71 flowing through town, Columbus and beyond is accessible to you when you book an RV in Lebanon, Ohio. Aside from the amazing local attractions, there are many events held throughout the year in town, including the Warren County Fair, Lebanon Blues Festival, Country Applefest, and the Christmas Festival.

Discover Lebanon

Explore the Outdoors

Part of the appeal of Lebanon is its 350 acres of land dedicated to outdoor recreation and enjoyment, most of which exists in the form of wonderful little parks. Harmon Park has lots of recreational fields and facilities including a disc golf course as well as a picnic pavilion and a playground for children to use.

Will and Harriet Ecological Park is the sight of many of Lebanon’s festivals including the Oktoberfest held each year. There is also a lengthy bicycle and hiking trail that runs alongside the park and beyond for those that like to explore through alternative means.

Take your Lebanon camper rental out of town and you can find lots of exciting possibilities within an hour’s drive. Cowans Lake State Park is open year round and has a marina where boats can launch and anglers can purchase supplies. Mountain biking and hiking are also fun here, but the park is mostly known for its stunning fossils from millions of years ago, when much of Ohio was covered in inland seas.

Caesar Creek State Park is another fine place to see when touring the area with a Lebanon motorhome rental, with almost 8,000 acres and 80 miles of trails. Caesar Creek also has an amazing educational nature center with natural history exhibits and a pioneer village that demonstrates what an old village from over 200 years ago would have been like.

Wayne National Forest is a bit farther away but well worth a visit in your Lebanon RV rental. Serving as the only national forest in the state, it has over 200,000 acres of forested land and lots of beautiful views.

No trip to Ohio would be complete without a visit to Cuyahoga National Park which is located just outside of Cleveland. It is one of the rare national parks in the area and one of the smallest, too.

Perhaps the most interesting site in all of Ohio is the Hopewell Culture National Historical Park only a half hour away from Lebanon. This sacred space is fascinating with lots of earthen mounds and primitive structures built over 2,000 years ago, proving to be some of the oldest on the continent.

City Sightseeing

Lebanon is an interesting city when it comes down to it, as it offers a unique blend of history, culture, elegant dining, vivacious nightlife, and fantastic shopping. With nearby metropolitan areas, Lebanon is within driving distance of many attractions, but you really don’t need to leave town to enjoy your vacation when you rent an RV.

Most of the main attractions in town are historically significant and offer visitors lots of insight into the local culture and how the town was formed. The Golden Lamb Inn & Restaurant is the Buckeye State’s longest continuously running business. Built in 1803, the Golden Lamb has long since been a stopping point for weary travelers. This amazing building is well worth the visit for the food alone, but they also have two museum rooms dedicated to housing local artifacts as well, so you can learn a thing or two.

Glendower State Memorial is an awe-inspiring mansion built in the 19th century and widely considered to be one of the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the region. The grounds at Glendower State Memorial are often used for Civil War reenactments, and the Warren County Historical Society provides the public with walking tours during the summer months. The Harmon Museum of Art and History is yet another unforgettable institute in Lebanon that seeks to provide knowledge to the general public. With four floors of art installations, cultural artifacts, and historical archives, you’ll need multiple visits to see everything.

RV Parks to Visit

Lebanon and the surrounding areas are not short on places to stay with the Lebanon travel trailer rental.

Olive Branch Campground is just outside of town to the east and features a pool, basketball courts, a camp store, game room, and fishing pond for you to enjoy.

Lebanon/Cincinnati NE KOA is located in town and has a pool, event pavilion, and dog park. Caesar Creek State Park has an extraordinary campground with over 280 finely kept camping sites. With its many hiking trails, you can get lost in the serene outdoors surrounding beautiful Caesar Creek Lake.
