Discover Lebanon RV rentals for memorable road trips

Lebanon is a thriving Central Tennessee community that’s not far from Nashville. But in many ways, the town feels like it’s a million miles from anywhere. The numerous cedar trees in the area create a serene atmosphere that’s very different from the busyness of modern life. That calmness, along with the stunning scenery and tons of other things to do, attracts many visitors every year. Many of them book an RV in Lebanon, and so should you.

Experience the Sites and Scenery

The thin soil in this area is ideal for cedar trees, and places like the Cedars of Lebanon State Park. It’s partly undeveloped wilderness and partly a state park with updated facilities, so the place offers something for everybody. Cedar trees aren’t the only living things that thrive here. The Park is home to over three hundred plant species, many of which are unique to this area. The red cedar, prickly pear cactus, and other plants are stunning when they’re in bloom. The developed part of the park includes over one hundred campsites, a swimming pool, meeting hall, and indoor lodge. Jackson Cave is pretty cool as well.

City Attractions

The Wall of Honor is not nearly as impressive as something like the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. But it is an excellent example of an impromptu tribute to fallen heroes. Along with a hand-painted American flag and the names of deceased veterans, there’s also a touching poem from a local Vietnam War veteran. The Neddy Jacobs Cabin isn’t much bigger than a closet in many of today’s houses. It’s a nice reminder of the sacrifices that those early pioneers made, and also of how their efforts paved the way for the life we live today. In something of a commentary on modern life, there’s a fast-food restaurant directly across the street. Finally, although it’s closed now, visitors should drive their Lebanon motorhome rentals by the very first Cracker Barrel.

What’s Unique

Life in Central Tennessee has not always been easy. The aforementioned frequent floods were just part of the hardship that these people endured. Through it all, they persevered and carved a very nice place for you to explore with your Lebanon RV rental. This part of Tennessee is big enough to explore in your RV yet small enough to have that intimate feeling, so it’s a nice place to spend a few days, a few months, or any amount of time in between.

Where to Park It

The Nashville East KOA Journey is one of the best places to keep your Lebanon rental RV. It has a number of full hookup sites in addition to campgrounds, cabins, and a large swimming pool. Visitors may also like Nashville’s Safe Harbor RV Resort. Its 131 spaces are located on a peninsula that juts out into Percy Priest Lake. So, the Resort is very scenic and also offers many amenities, including a private beach. As an added bonus, it’s close to many Nashville attractions, including the Grand Ole Opry.

The Food

Fresh fish is a staple in this area, as is the venerable Meat and Three (meat dish and three sides). Don’t forget the sweet potato fries, fried pickles, and of course, the banana pudding.

This van was perfect for our family of 3 with room to add more. With only 4 seats with seatbelts, that is the only limitation on number of occupants, but we could have easily had two more as we didn’t end up using the pop up sleeping area. This was our second time renting one of these vans and the highlights of this vans features are a bed that is stationary, (so no dropping the table to make a bed), plenty of storage under the bed for luggage bags (we had a lot), plenty of storage within the van for food items and clothing and all while not feeling cramped or things are in your way while your in the camper.

We had a wonderful experience. The camper was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with everything our family needed. Our family had such a great time, and we would highly recommend this camper to anyone looking for a fun and memorable getaway. Easy pickup and drop off with friendly and helpful host.
