Discover Chilton RV rentals for memorable road trips

Just outside of Waco in the heart of Texas, the tiny community of Chilton can be found. The town is unincorporated, with a population that hovers around a thousand people. The first settlers of what is now known as Chilton first arrived in 1854, who in turn named the new settlement Abney’s Farm. The town’s name was later changed to Chilton in honor of Lysias B. Chilton who opened the first store in the vicinity.

The Great Outdoors

Texas is one of the largest states in the country and it’s absolutely packed with parks, forests, desert landscapes, and an assortment of other fun outdoor features. Every part of Texas has its own distinct characteristics, from the dry deserts of the west to the lush forests and wetlands of its southeast region. Chilton is firmly located in the center of Texas, so you can rent an RV in town and reach any place in the Lone Star State with a little bit of effort. Fort Parker State Park is an excellent place to start off your Chilton camper rental vacation, located to the northeast. Fort Parker Lake is the main attraction at Fort Parker State Park and it was artificially made by damming the Navasota River. There are several hiking loops and ample space to splash around in the water when you bring your Chilton RV rental to the park or visit its wonderful nature center.

RV Parks

Chilton might not be the liveliest city but it is surrounded by enough nature and beauty for there to be a ton of options as far as campgrounds go. Bring your Chilton RV rental to Falls On the Brazos Park, a small park on the riverside. There are historic walking trails, picnic spots, playgrounds, and camping sites for both RVs and tents.

City Attractions

When you rent an RV in Chilton, you may not find a lot of entertainment options in town. You can find quite a variety of options by heading up to nearby Waco. Waco Mammoth National Monument mentioned before is a fantastic place to see in person, and one of the city’s most well-known attractions. There is a great museum and learning center located in the park that you can tour around once you are through seeing the dig sites.

Very clean RV! It was our first RV and Travis was not only very accommodating but very informative for first time users. He was very easy to contact and we had zero issues. RV also included kitchen necessities and was perfect for our trip. Cannot imagine a better experience. Thanks Travis!
