Fancy exploring something a bit more hands-on? Head a few miles west with the RV rental from Glen Rose and dig into Dinosaur Valley State Park, located just outside of this wonderful city. Here, you will be able to see the world as though dinosaurs still inhabited it, and you'll have the opportunity to learn about how archaeologists discover and study fossils left behind by Earth’s previous tenants. The large cities of Fort Worth and Dallas, located just down the road, will satisfy any big city experiences you may be craving. And if you want to see a small Texan town, you can delve into Somervell County’s Rainbow, named by its residents back in the 1890s when a rainbow developed after a thunderstorm and left them in awe on the day they were trying to name their hometown.
