Experience the Sites and Scenery

Texas has an impressive array of state parks, national forests, and other enchanting recreation areas that you can make use of when you rent an RV in Groesbeck. Just minutes outside of town is Fort Parker State Park, a historically significant slice of Texas that is worth checking out. The park is home to the last vestiges of a town called Springfield, which was abandoned during the Civil War due to lawlessness and conflict. There are old cemeteries and remnants of this ghost town in the park, along with a network of hiking and biking trails. Furthermore, you can kayak and canoe on the lake, go swimming, visit the park’s nature center, or camp overnight with your recreational vehicle if you feel like staying an extra night or two.

RV Park

RV parks are quite easy to come by when you venture off into central Texas, and there are several great camping areas near Groesbeck that can host you when you rent an RV. Lee’s RV Park is in the heart of Groesbeck, close to many restaurants, stores, and even a town park where you can use the pool.

City Attractions

Groesbeck is not a place you usually choose to visit if you are keen on seeing some big city attractions. Waco is a little over a half hour's drive away, and perhaps your best shot for seeing some places of interest. Waco has wineries, farmers markets, amazing eateries, small art galleries, and retail spots too.

the camper was small and nice- perfect for 2 people. the bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. one recommendation would be to bring an extra hose with you and connect to sink outlet so that water doesnt solash right where you are washing dishes.
