Discover Lake Mexia RV rentals for memorable road trips

Lake Mexia is a Texas reservoir on the Navasota River a few miles west of the town of Mexia. It was created in 1961 to provide water supplies and a recreational facility for the local area. To the north are the two large cities of Fort Worth and Dallas, while the city of Waco is just a short drive away in your rental RV.

Getting outdoors

Fishing is a very popular pastime at Lake Mexia with a variety of fish species available to catch. The Largemouth bass is the most common, but good stocks of white bass, crappie, and catfish are also available.

Camping at Lake Mexia

A small campground is located in the same area as the Lake Mexia Marina. It offers a few campsites with water and electric hookups, a restroom with showers and a picnic area. This is pretty basic state park RV camping and won’t suit everyone, but it is great if you are coming to fish in the lake.

Exploring the Area

Lake Mexia has very few facilities, but the city of Mexia is just a few miles to the east. Here you’ll find everything you need for motorhome camping, including gas stations, grocery stores and a choice of restaurants and bars.

the camper was small and nice- perfect for 2 people. the bed was comfortable, kitchen was well equipped. one recommendation would be to bring an extra hose with you and connect to sink outlet so that water doesnt solash right where you are washing dishes.
