While blue catfish and largemouth bass are abundantly fished in the lake, flathead and channel catfish are popular too. White crappie is common during the cooler months. Shore fishing is possible off one the piers around the lake, or you could take your boat out into the lake. A fish cleaning station is located near the marina in Brackenridge Park and at the Texana Park boat ramp. Lighted fishing piers and an ADA-accessible fishing jetty are available too.

Lake Texana camping areas are easily accessible and located right by the lake. The Texana Park and Campground offers over 140 sites. Facilities at the campground include full hookups, 30 and 50 amp electric service, big rig access, sewer, water, a dump station, WiFi, cell phone coverage, restrooms, and showers. The kids will get to enjoy the open areas and playgrounds, while you have plenty of recreational trails to explore. Pets are welcome at the campground, and cabins are available for rent as well.When you get ready to camp in an RV near Lake Texana, consider Brackenridge Recreation Complex as an option. The complex features 134 campsites, with amenities like full hookups, restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, a dump station, pull-thru sites, 30 and 50 amp electric service, fire rings, and picnic tables. Most of the sites are nestled among oak and pecan trees. There’s a huge playground for the kids to run around in, while a designated pet area makes it easy to bring your pets along.

Greetings to anyone that this review could help in making your decision to rent the RV it was delivered on time an the host was informative and polite, the pictures doesn't give this RV the flowers it deserves. Very well maintained, floor plan was perfect. Its a must rent if your looking for that home away from home feeling.
